Summer is officially upon us and everyone is super pumped for fun in the sun. But guys, we cannot forget about summer showers! Just in the last month we’ve gotten so much rain, severe thunderstorms, flooding & even tornadoes. Yikes!

I don’t know about you but rainy days almost always put a cramp in my style. I’m always left wondering what to wear on a rainy summer day without sacrificing my cute summer pieces. Maybe it’s the gloominess outside or the fact that I don’t want to get my cute summer shoes all wet and yucky.

I’ve got a couple of tips below if you’ve ever been stuck wondering what to wear on a rainy summer day as well.

I recently got my hands on these cute Lemon Jelly rain booties and they inspired me to put together a few super cute + rainy day friendly looks, including this one.

I figured that with the right pair of rain boots, you can pretty much still wear all your summer favorites like cute skirts, dresses or denim shorts. Here’s a tip: When choosing a pair of rain boots go for ones that mimic a regular bootie the most. These Lemon Jelly ones are so slim and less bulky and look more like a regular shoe than a rain boot. Also, go for a neutral color that can go with everything. White, black, navy and nude are great options.

Also, don’t forget to throw on a lightweight jacket to shield yourself from the rain. Throw on a cute hat as well, if you want.
