Ankle booties are a must-have in your fall and winter wardrobe. These almond toe David Aaron ones from Shoe Carnival are my absolute favorite so naturally I had to get them in two different colors. The best part is that they are very reasonably priced so you don’t have to break the bank.
I love both the comfort and versatility of this David Aaron pair. You can literally dress them up or down, there’s no wrong way to do it. The taupe colored ones pair perfectly with black, I like the way it breaks the dark color scheme without taking away from the neutral palette.
They are the ultimate casual-cool, versatile boots to run around town in, if you ask me.

It’s crazy how the color and texture can change the whole feel of the shoe. For some reason I feel like the black ones are a bit more dressy and I can totally get away with pairing them with a semi-casual dress like this one, and even an all lace one, without losing the chic feel. Plus it makes my outfit very fall appropriate which is exactly what I want during these fall months that sometimes feel like summer.
