A couple of weeks ago we visited Houston’s newest summer attraction, Altitude H2O. Y’all, I kid you not when I say it was such a blast! It is so different from any other water parks we’ve ever been to. And kinda made me feel like I was on survivor or something like that. Haha! Mason said he pretended to be on Ultimate Beast Master the entire time 😉
I’m not gonna lie, the trek around the entire park is pretty challenging. Super fun, but challenging. Be ready to use muscle and every bit of balance you have. I suggest bringing water shoes or socks with you if you have any.
Altitude H2O is basically an inflatable playground on water. There’s a climbing wall, trampoline and a ton of mini obstacles to get through. Which is what makes it so fun. Each session is 45 minutes long and they start every hour on the hour. Complete with a 15 – minute safety orientation.
The obstacle course itself is intended for children 6 & up. And understandably so, I think it would be way too challenging for little ones. But, if you have littles ones younger than 6, they can still have fun on the lake shore. Life vests are provided and there is lifeguards on duty at all times, so it is super safe for them to play in the water without having to get on the inflatable.
The boys’ favorite part was for sure the playground. I can not tell you how fearless and daring they both were the entire time we were there. They kept diving into the water from the top of the climbing wall over and over again.
My favorite part was for sure the lounging area. It sits a little higher than the lake and faces the playground . You can relax and look at what your kids are doing the entire time. Plus, I will admit, it is pretty entertaining & funny to see everyone struggling to get through the obstacles 😉 #TBH. Also, the lounge chairs + umbrella combo is super cute and a perfect Insta photo-op.
But on a serious note, you can also pack a family picnic for the day and bring your coolers with you. Aside from the lounging chairs, there’s also picnic tables closer to the building and in the shade. Do bring lots of water & sunblock cause it is HOT out!
Altitude H2O is located in Wake Nation in Rosharon, TX and is hosting it’s re-GRAND OPENING celebration on June 15, 2019. There will be lots of family fun including lawn games and food trucks. You can purchase your tickets online at www.altitudeh2o.com or on location. More info here.
Hope you’re having a fantastic summer!
