This past weekend we celebrated Baby Millie with a drive-by baby shower. It was everything we expected, considering the current situation. The weather was beautiful and we got to see family and friends we hadn’t seen since quarantine started back in March. Needless to say, our hearts are full and Millie girl has some cute little outfits waiting for her.
Our DIY Baby Shower Decorations
It was a very simple (and affordable) setup. I didn’t feel like a whole production was necessary considering we were practicing social distancing. The boys & I worked on the cute signage literally the day before. We used cardboard pieces off the tons of boxes sitting in our garage + paint we had in our craft drawer. It made for a fun day activity for them + I LOVED how it turned out.
Also from a blank banner we had sitting in the craft drawer, Evan made a “BABY MILLIE” banner to drape on the beverage table.
Our backdrop stand was actually Evan’s pitching net (ha!). We got a white photography backdrop off Amazon and secured it to the net with staples. The DIY Balloon Arch Kit is also from Amazon and it was incredibly easy (yet tedious) to put together. These two things + a couple of balloons & drinks are the only things we spend money on.
Considering proper hygiene and social distancing safety we decided to not serve food. My sweet friend & neighbor, Laura from Kekis Bakeshop gifted us the delicious cupcakes! She had each cupcake individually boxed to make it easier for guest to grab & go!
It was definitely not the kind of baby shower we EVER imagined having but in the end our drive-by baby shower was perfect! And to be honest, we loved the part where we had barely anything to clean up 😉
We cannot wait for our baby girl to join our family!
The matching outfits were not intentional. Y’all know I hate matching looks! LOL
