Best Foundation For Dry Skin According To Me

Best foundation for dry skin | Lilly Beltran | Huston based beauty blogger

When it comes to foundations I want something that has both full coverage (or is buildable) and is moisturizing. I tend to have very dry skin and anything too matte will eventually cake up regardless of how much I moisturize my skin beforehand. These three foundations/creams have passed the test of time and are must-haves in my beauty arsenal. If you’ve been looking for the best foundation for dry skin that actually works, do yourself a favor and continue reading till the end 😉

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup – I am pretty sure you’ve heard about this amazing foundation. And I assure you, everything you’ve heard is 100% true! This is one of my all time favorite foundations ever. It is a full coverage matte finish foundation. Suitable for all skin types but I personally add a little drop of facial oil or glowing serum to it before applying it or else it WILL crease on my fine lines. Besides that little con, which doesn’t bother me at all, it somehow still works on my dry skin. Doesn’t sink into my pores or makes my skin peel. It definitely lasts ALL DAY LONG! It is waterproof so it will not smudge, run or rub off. Which is actually great for hot summer days. The coverage is beautiful and it will give you such a natural silky finish.  I like to wear this one when I have an event or party to attend. Or when I’m out shooting on a hot day.  It’s also fragrance free & dermatologist-tested.  A little on the pricey side ($42) but so worth every penny. Plus a little bit goes a long way. You can definitely get more than a couple of month’s use out of it depending on how regularly you wear a full face.

L’OREAL Infalliable Pro-Glo Foundation- I discovered this one through Megan from Meg-O. She talked about it once on her stories and swore by it so I had to try for myself. This foundation has such a radiant finish. It’s no wonder it’s called “Pro-Glow”. It is a medium coverage, super lightweight formula. It truly does last 24 hours + it has SPF 15. I love a foundation with  SPF but always remember that a foundation with SPF should NEVER replace your regular SPF cream under your foundation! I like to wear this one when I’m going somewhere outdoors with the boys or just on a weekend of errands. For Normal/Dry skin.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream – Been using this one for over a year and I could not live without it. This is a color correcting full coverage cream. It’s also anti-aging, hydrating and has a jaw dropping SPF of 50+. I love this one because it is so lightweight that I even forget I’m wearing anything on my face. Definitely hydrates the skin and makes my skin looks so good. A little bit goes a long way with this one. I put this on my face even when I’m not doing a full face. Just add a little bronzer, highlighter, eyebrows and lipgloss and I’m ready to go. You guys, this stuff is the real deal.  Real for wearing on the daily during the summer. Protects from the sun, makes your skin look amazing all while hydrating and helping reduce premature aging. If this doesn’t convince you that you need to try it, I don’t know what will.
