We are currently experiencing our very first cold front of the season here in Houston and it.feels.like.fall! Like I said on stories, anything below 85 degrees is fall to us Houstonians, so it’s only natural that I’ve already busted out my fall style. Sorry not sorry!
Typically when you hear “Fall Style” you immediately think sweaters, jackets & boots, right? Thing is, fall style doesn’t necessarily mean all of the above. I love effortlessly transitioning my summer pieces into fall by wearing them a little differently. This denim jacket for example, I wore layered over a basic tee and with a denim mini earlier this summer. This time around I wore it on it’s own and buttoned it all the way up (folded the sleeves over for a laid back look) for more of a fall feel. I paired it with my favorite wide leg jeans which you saw me wear countless times over the summer, and instead of wearing my suede booties, I opted for yet another summer favorite…my slides.
If you’re eager to dress for fall but the weather isn’t quite cooperating just yet, do like I did and play with your summer wardrobe, wear it a bit differently and easily transition into your fall stayed.
P.S. Why do I fell like this entire post sounded so TV Ad-sy?? haha! It’s almost 9pm and I am dying to get in bed. Y’all please bare with me;)DSTLD Denim Jacket c/o | Madewell Denim (similar) c/o | Target Slides | Fossil Bag & Smartwatch c/o | Madewell Sunglasses
