This week I went on Instagram stories and answered the most FAQ on eyelash extensions. I though I’d covered everything you guys wanted to know but turns out you want even more details. I get girl! And I got you! So thought I’d write up a quick post instead. This way you ladies can always come back to it or even share with someone else who may have the same questions.
Most FAQ about my Eyelash Extensions Answered
Where do you get your eyelash extensions done? – I go to Divine Eyelash in Houston, TX.
How much do you pay for a full set /refill? – The first full set is about $80. Could be more depending on different factors like do you have old extensions that need to be removed etc. The refill is somewhere between $50 & $60, also depending on how many weeks one between refills.
How long does it take to get a full set done? – I think this depends on where you go. Lynn took a little less than an hour and a half on my first full set. Every refill after that is under an hour.
How often do you get refills? – I get a refill every three weeks. So roughly once a month.
Are they worth paying for? – In my opinion yes they are worth every dollar! I am not what you call super high maintenance but I love having my lashed done. It makes me look more awake, more “done” when I am not wearing makeup. My kids and hubby love them. I don’t have to deal with mascara AND they make me feel prettier if you will 😉 There’s just something very flirty & feminine about a nice long set of eyelashes.
Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes? – This is probably the most asked question, and the answer is no. I know there’s one too many horror stories out there of girls loosing all of their own natural lashes but I assure you, that isn’t the case with me and I have been getting lash extensions periodically for over a year now. I still have a full intact set of my own 😉 Do your research before you go to a new place. Make sure they are licensed and have great reviews. Talk to your girlfriends, ask around. Word of mouth is usually the best review you can get. If you’re a Houston local, I’d 100% recommend seeing Lynn at Divine Eyelash.
How do you clean/remove makeup? – I remove my face makeup the same way I’ve always done. I leave my eye area out and remove my eye makeup with an oil free makeup remover ( currently using L’Occitane cleansing Water) and cotton pad. If I wore eyeliner or heavy shadow, I go in with a Qtip a and carefully remove anything along my lash line. Be sure to use good quality Qtips or else you’ll end up with cotton lint stuck on your eyelash extensions and that is not good!
Can You get them wet or submerge them in water? – Yes you can. You do have to keep them dry and preferably makeup free for the first 48 hours while the glue bonds. After that you can take a shower freely. Do keep in mind to still be gentle on your eyes.
I hope I covered everything you wanted to know. If you have any other questions, leave them in the comment section below or hit me up on DM on Instagram. If you decide to go see Lynn, let her know Lilly from Daily Craving sent ya 😉
