In just three weeks Erick & I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage. It sounds so surreal to say and even more surreal to believe that it’s been 10 years since we first said “I do”. It feels like it happened just yesterday.

These 10 years have been nothing less than amazing. We had two beautiful little boys, bought a house, built the family we always dreamed of and have recently sold our home of ten years to start building our forever home. It wasn’t always rainbows and stars though, Erick & I have been through so much more than we ever imagined when we first got married….our marriage has been tested in more than one way, but as cheesy as it may sound, our love for one another has been stronger than anything else.

As many of you may have already read here, Erick & I got engaged only 5 months after we started dating and within a two year span and at the ages of 20 & 22 had a baby, got married and bought a house. Both madly in love but SO young and clueless about it all. For years we BOTH struggled with my postpartum depression, which I shared here. Followed by financial struggles which resulted in him having to have up to 3 jobs at a time just to make ends meet. This of course brought on the issue of me feeling lonely and abandoned to care for our boys all by myself. I don’t kid when I say the struggle was REAL! Becoming responsible adults while raising two little boys was incredibly difficult and there were days when we were ready to call it quits. Today we are both so glad we didn’t♥

This picture here was taken almost two years ago and it’s so special to us because it was the first picture we’d taken together in a very long time. This was the year we had decided to start fresh. To leave all the heartache, depression, anger, struggle (both personal & marital) aside and focus on us. Focus on our family, our love for one another and make our Heavenly Father the center of it all.

We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary on November 10th and will celebrate by renewing our vows in front of our closest family & best friends, and most importantly, our boys♥ Renewing our commitment to one another and this time to our kids as well is something so special to us. This time with so much more meaning, love and wisdom behind it.

For our anniversary I knew I wanted to frame one of our favorite pictures to display in our new home. I ordered through Framebridge and loved how easy and fast the process was. I uploaded my digital file and let Framebridge recommend the frame size and style that best went with my image. I went with the Irvine Slim and LOVE it! It arrived so fast, beautifully and securely packed and in perfect condition. I seriously want to frame it all now!! 😉
