How was your weekend? I hope great! Ours was pretty jam packet but at the same time very low-key, or at least that’s what it felt like for me. We had our dear friend and realtor come visit us Friday evening. We hadn’t seen her since we closed on the house in early May. We caught up on life, talked about future home building plans, poured our hearts and souls out and even popped oped a bottle of wine. Well Erick & her did anyway, y’all know I don’t drink. The boys were thrilled to see her again and we (ME) were all teary eyed when we opened gifts she brought. Guys she made the cutest most special picture frames with a picture of us 4 the day we sold the house. One for Evan & Mason and one for Erick & I. It’s such a sentimental gift that I will cherish and keep forever. Thanks Debs!
Saturday we stopped by Smile Direct to get my scans done for my invisible aligners. I am so excited to start my treatment! -Read till the end for a huge discount code to Smile Direct- did a little shopping for the apartment (working on the master bedroom reveal!) and strolled through The Heights which is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Houston. It’s got so much charm! We ended the day at home with my sister and nephew over. Family time is the best time.
Sunday was a blur but equally chill. Stopped by my parents in the afternoon. That’s the boys most favorite place ever! Especially when grandma has gifts for them. In this case it was Super Mario T-shirts which they were thrilled to get. Aren’t grandmas the best? After, we drove to up to Thompson & Hanson, the cutest nursery ever! We shopped for herbs, chatted with the gardeners about how to keep my snake pants alive (ha!) and then shot a few pics. It was incredibly hot though, so we wrapped it up, jumped in our AC heaven and drove to find the nearest place for a drink. We stumbled upon Bebidas Houston which I’d heard of but never been and we absolutely loved it. Boys got strawberry banana & spinach smoothies with almond milk & Erick and I got “The Playa” which is mango, pineapple, lime, mint & coconut milk. It was so good!
We ended the day at home with a yummy quinoa & roasted veggie bowl, watermelon jello for dessert & bedtime stories by Mason. Seriously, how incredibly lucky am I to live this wonderful life God has given me♥
Wore this perfect little denim mini again because it’s truly my favorite throw and go item right now. Makes for such an easy casual look. Paired it with a very lightweight tee and because I am insane, threw on my new DSTLD black denim jacket. Because wearing a black denim jacket in 97 degree weather is totally normal and convenient…I will say though, it came in handy to block the harsh burning sun rays while we talked to the guy at the nursery;) And can we talk about the shoes for a minute? I am so into these floral embroidered slides y’all. They are just so different and I love different. Plus they added a fun pop of color to my outfit. I’m linking these for y’all below because they are seriously the cutest and under $50.
