3 Tips For adding Knits to Your Summer Look

Follow my blog with BloglovinKnit vest shorts and sandalsAdding knits to your summer look can sound very crazy and even be a little confusing. But it’s something that can definitely be done without looking like you’ve got your seasons confused. Now I’m not saying throw on your favorite turtle neck and call it a day in 100 degree weather, but you can play with knits that are lighter and airy, if that makes any sense when talking about knits.

Here’s 3 tips to adding knits into your summer look:

1.Choose lighter pieces: Go for pieces like this Pleione vest I wore over the weekend. It’s sleeveless, very light and has a deep v neck

2. Pair it with something leg baring: Since this is a knit after all, you will want to pair it with shorts or a mini. Not only to stay fresh through the day, but also the bare leg gives your outfit more of a summer look/vibe.

3. Skip the shirt: If your knit requires a cami, skip it. Go ahead and pair it with a cute lace bralette instead. The peekaboo lace always adds a bit of romance to the look.

There is just so many ways to add knits into your summer look. Play around with pieces in your closer, don’t be afraid to try new things, it’s seriously a great way to reinvent your entire closet!
