Recently I have been so uninspired and even questioning wether or not I want to continue this blogging journey. My love for fashion is still the same if not bigger. But certain factors have led me to feel a bit disappointed about the whole idea of blogging. When I started blogging it wasn’t really about making money. Captions actually had a meaning and kept the reader wanting more. There was never that marketing-esque feeling that has taken over the blogger sphere in the last couple of years or so. Sure, we all at some point want to make a profit from our blogs, especially if we’ve legally and officially turned it into a business. But I feel that originality has gotten lost somewhere in between fast fashion and wanting to sell and promote every.single.item.we wear. With that, the constant pressure and race to reach bigger numbers. So many bloggers have turned to buying likes and followers and that to me is so unfair not only to those who are working their butts off to organically grow and let their work and creativity do all the talking, but also to the more seasoned bloggers who had to work restlessly to get to where they are. I don’t believe in cutting corners.

I want to make clear that I respect everyone’s opinions, work ethics and choices and hope that anyone reading this also respects mine and understands where I’m coming from. With that being said, I’d love to hear from you. Up till now my blog has been mostly fashion, some beauty and a little lifestyle. I want to know what you, my reader wants to see more of? I’ll be the first one to admit that writing a great post isn’t really my forte. My passion is and has always been fashion. Discovering new trends and styling them to reflect my personal style, mood & personality is pretty much what I live for. I have however noticed that you guys are very interested in the beauty posts. So I want to know what you want me to focus on. More fashion, more beauty, weekly finds, sales etc.

I want to make sure that I am putting in all my energy into something that will actually be read and inspire at least one of you. Despite the lack of inspiration lately and discouragement from seeing this turn into a marketplace of fast fashion, I love what I do and I wouldn’t be doing any of it if it weren’t for you guys. Thank you for following along. Love you all! Xx-

I love your style, and reading your posts. I loved when you did your hair tutorial. Still to date my favorite pictures were the bathing suit one with that bright suit and pom pom sandals and macaroons! I personally rarely go to mall, the hustle bustle of all the people, parking, and traffic there plus-my 2 year old with me shopping, always winds up giving me a headache. So I tend to shop at smaller stores just to avoid large crowds when we have I’m fighting my naptime meltdowns. Any shopping places for the mama’s with a terrible two’s toddler?

Michelle, thanks for reading along and for sharing my posts on Facebook so many times! I definitely remember shopping when Mason was two, it wasn’t fun but I always had Erick to help lol. I still don’t love the malls because the crown makes me so anxious and I always feel like i’m gonna lose a kid haha. I love shopping in open/outdoors shopping centers like MarketSstreet & City Centre. Easier for us mamas and a little less frustrating for the kids:)

I 100% agree with you! I started blogging very early in the game and was always so turn off by the whole concept of ‘selling out’. For a while it really bothered me specially seeing new bloggers numbers increase in a very fast (and un authentic way by some bloggers). It was when I decided that it was my blog and that I had the freedom to choose what I really wanted to post about and that numbers (and popularity ) don’t really matter to me. Keep doing what YOU love and don’t worry what others want! 🙂

Same here, there’s been times when it really bothers me and I have to keep reminding myself to stay true to who I am. Numbers and popularity, like you said, aren’t something that matter to me because at the end of the day I need to feel the satisfaction in knowing that I am being ME! Thanks for chiming in girl! Xx

Blogging is nothing like I thought it would be and I’m going on five years with mine. It’s hard work and lots of pressure. There are days when I feel like I’m a joke and I can’t keep up with all of the “big names” out there. Then I realize that I love doing it and if I just put the bs aside and concentrate on work I want to do and forget about numbers and things like that, I feel so much less pressure. When people tell me I help them, that’s everything I want from my blog. To help inspire women to look and feel their best. I can honestly tell you that you have inspired me to feel more confident with fashion. To try new looks. You have a serious talent and I would hate to see you go. I think that you are genuine, sincere and we need more bloggers like you!!!!
