I’ve got a drawer full of skin care products that I received from Saks 5th Avenue Houston a couple of months ago, and I am having a ball trying them all! I honestly have more than just 4 favorites and a current skincare favorites post with more than that would’ve been just too long. So I’ve decided to split it in two. First up…
My Current Skincare Favorites : Oils & Serums
I love this stuff so much! Besides the fact that it fights against daily aggressors to keep skin youthful, it also has antioxidant protection. It’s paraben & mineral oil-free and smells incredible. It’s also super light and leaves my skin feeling extra soft. I love using it under my foundation for a smoother application and under my sunscreen on no makeup days for a healthy glow and extra hydration. This is also the most affordable of the 4, retailing under $50.
Ok, so this La Mer Renewal Oil is supposed to soften the look of emerging lines & wrinkles (god knows I need that). And although it does leave my skin super soft and somewhat plump, I haven’t really noticed a huge difference in fine lines. My favorite way to use it though is to mix a couple of drops into my foundation before applying it on my face. It gives me such a beautiful glow without making my face feel oily.
Clarins is a beauty lovers favorite and I can see why. This anti-aging Double Serum leaves my face smoother, supple, unbelievably soft and it brightens (my favorite part). The only down part is that it has mineral oil, yuck! Surely this isn’t the only product I use that has mineral oil, but I do try to stay away from it because it makes be break out. Other than that I give it 2 thumbs up!
This Cellcosmet cleanser is truly a gem! I know it’s crazy expensive but I feel like it does the work of not only a cleanser but also a moisturizer. Perfect for those of you who just don’t have the time to use a handful of products at night. Simply lather up, massage the face, remove the makeup and you’re all done. Clean, soft, smooth skin in just one step. Plus the best part is that it doesn’t strip skin of it’s natural oils (which is very important). It’s also oil & sulfate-free and perfect for sensitive skin.
Like I mentioned, I know most of these are crazy expensive. If you’d like to try them without spending a fortune, you can always ask for a sample size at any of these beauty counters. They will for sure say yes and y’all the sample sizes go a long way anyway! 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by,
