5 Minute Messy Waves

5 minute messy waves

messy wavesAfter many questions about how I create my signature 5 minute messy waves, I finally filmed a short video explaining exactly what I do and what I use to achieve the look. I hope you guys enjoy, and if you decide to try it yourself, let me know how it worked out for you.

How to create 5 minute messy waves that will last up to three days 5 minute messy waves and balayage hairI start with clean hair that has been blown out. I prefer not to use any products, I feel like the waves last longer and look a lot more effortless without it. Using my not so fancy Remington Wet 2 Straight flat Iron I grab 1 to 2 inch sections and curl only on the bottom half of each strand. Once I have done the same all over my head, I run my fingers through it, give it a little shake, and I’m all done. These waves will usually last me about three days, I’m sure they could last longer but for me, the dirtier my hair gets, the more weighed down it feels and loses all curls.
